Cannot delete weird cifs file cifs

Occasionally on our cifs share there will be a file called:

cifs1e3

Or something along these lines. cifs followed by some numbers and letters. These files cant be deleted or moved…

I’m curious as to what these files are and how to properly deal with them when they come up?

It seems that over time they go away sometimes, but they can stay for up to a day or two.
